This guide will walk you through the process of setting up a basic Qtap instance in a cloud-connected environment, starting from account creation to installation.
To get started, point your browser at https://app.qpoint.io/sign-up and create an account.
You'll be prompted to create an organization in your account. Each account may have multiple organizations associated with it. To get started, we recommend creating an example organization as a sandbox or test environment.
Don't worry: you can create or manage different organizations easily after the setup process is completed.
Once your organization is created, you'll be taken to the main dashboard. Look for the "Go" button at the top of the interface and click it to start the installation wizard.
In the installation wizard, you'll see options for different installation methods:
Docker
Kubernetes
Linux Binary
Select the option that best fits your environment and infrastructure needs.
Congratulations! You've successfully initiated the installation of Qtap in your environment. Here are some next steps:
Return to the Qpoint traffic dashboard to view your discovered endpoints
Explore the Qtap configuration options in the Qpoint interface
Start monitoring your egress traffic and set up any middleware stacks
